Bucklers Hard
Today we head to Buckler’s Hard, a historic 18th-century shipbuilding village on the banks of the Beaulieu River in the New Forest. Once a thriving centre for building Royal Navy ships, it’s now a peaceful heritage site where visitors can explore the maritime museum, walk along the riverbank, and imagine life in the Georgian era. With its preserved cottages, shipwrights' homes, and scenic surroundings, Buckler’s Hard offers a fascinating glimpse into England’s naval past in a beautifully setting.
