Bantry Bay & Ring of Kerry

Day 1

Arrive in Ireland via the ferry to Rosslare. Check in at Treacy’s Hotel Waterford, ideally located on the riverfront and close to the city’s historic quarter. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing time to: Enjoy a walk along the River Suir quays, visit the town centre before dinner in the Restaurant.

Day 2

After breakfast, depart Waterford and travel west through the rolling countryside of Counties Cork and Kerry. The journey offers changing landscapes, from farmland to rugged coastal scenery.

In Cork, Ireland’s second city, enjoy a guided tour highlighting: The lively city centre and River Le, Historic streets and cultural landmarks, The English Market, famous for local produce.

We then set off on our journey to arrive in Bantry, a charming harbour town set on Bantry Bay, and check in to The Maritime Hotel, where we will stay for the next three nights.

Day 3

Enjoy a full day guided tour of the Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland’s most celebrated scenic routes.

The tour takes you through: Dramatic coastal scenery and mountain landscapes, Traditional villages such as Sneem and Waterville, Views of the Atlantic coastline, lakes, and rugged countryside. Your guide will bring the landscape to life with stories of local history, folklore, and daily life in Kerry. There will be several stops for photographs and refreshments along the way.

Day 4

Travel to Killarney National Park, a region famed for its natural beauty.

Highlights of the day include a traditional jaunting car ride, offering a relaxed and authentic way to explore the park, A scenic boat cruise on one of Killarney’s famous lakes, surrounded by mountains and woodland. Free time to enjoy the peaceful parkland setting.

Visit Muckross House and Gardens, a magnificent 19th-century mansion set within the National Park. Explore: Elegant period rooms, beautifully maintained formal gardens, The surrounding lakeside and mountain scenery

Day 5

After breakfast, depart Bantry and travel back across southern Ireland to Waterford. Check back in to Treacy’s Hotel for your final night.

The remainder of the day is free for: Last-minute sightseeing visit the Medieval Triangle, Shopping for souvenirs before returning to the hotel for dinner. (entrance not included)

Day 6

We travel to Rosslare to catch the return ferry to Pembrokeshire, bringing your Irish journey to a close with Breakfast on the Ferry
