Beamish

Today we visit Beamish Living History Museum, in County Durham. This attraction transforms into a festive wonderland during Christmas. Visitors can experience traditional holiday celebrations from the 1820s, 1900s, and 1940s, complete with period decorations, carol singing, and festive foods. The museum's recreated town and farm are beautifully adorned, and activities like ice skating, visiting Father Christmas, and horse-drawn carriage rides immerse guests in a nostalgic, old-fashioned Christmas atmosphere.

Join us today as we head to Durham, a peaceful university city nestled between the Durham Dales and the tranquillity of the North East Coast. Offering some well known recognisable landmarks within the UK, alongside a range of high street shops, Durham is a must stop visit for those travellers heading to the North East. We make our return journey by way of the Angel of the North. Standing 20 meters tall with a wingspan of 54 meters, this sculpture has become a landmark of northern England.
