Nene Valley Railway

Today we head to the historic town of Stamford, renowned for its charming Georgian architecture, cobbled streets, and quaint shops. From here, we continue to Wansford to board the Nene Valley Railway, a heritage railway that offers a nostalgic ride through the picturesque countryside to Peterborough. We finish our day with some free time in Peterborough, where you can explore the impressive cathedral or enjoy a riverside walk before heading back to our hotel.

Cambridge

Explore historic Cambridge today at your leisure. Here you’ll be able to admire the architecture of the University of Cambridge’s historic colleges, such as King’s College and its world-famous chapel. Take a stroll along the picturesque gardens behind the colleges or along the River Cam for a unique view of the city. Why not enjoy lunch at one of the many cafes or traditional pubs or browse the independent shops and market in the city centre. (Please note - the walk into town is approximately 10 minutes)

Ely

Ely is a cathedral city in the heart of the Cambridgeshire Fens. Best known for its magnificent Cathedral and Oliver Cromwell’s House. Take time to enjoy this compact city on foot, relax with a peaceful riverside walk or indulge in some retail therapy in the independent shops.
