IOM Steam Railway

Our excursion today takes us on the Isle of Man Steam Railway, a well-preserved, narrow-gauge steam railway boasting vintage carriages. We depart from our base in Douglas and head to Port Erin where we enjoy a short comfort stop. We end our day by spending some time in Castletown, the original capital of the Island and home to the famous Castle Rushen, one of the best preserved medieval castles in the world.

Manx & Snaefell

We enjoy a scenic journey on the Manx Electric Railway today, departing Ramsey and arriving at Laxey. From Laxey, we board the Snaefell Mountain Railway (the only electric mountain railway in the British Isles) which takes us to the summit of Snaefell Mountain. Later we retrace our steps and enjoy some free time in Laxey.

Peel & Ramsey

This morning we head to Peel, a fishing small port overlooked by Peel Castle. The narrow streets, lined with fishermen's cottages adds to the charm of this coastal resort. We continue onto Ramsey, the second largest town on the Island. Ramsey's high street is known for its small independent boutiques and novelty gift shops.
