Welsh Highlands

This morning we enjoy a journey on the Welsh Highland Railway, the UK's longest heritage railway which runs in the shadows of Snowdon. We then head to Portmeirion, the Mediterranean inspired, secluded coastal village envisaged by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis.

Bodnant

Nestled in the foothills of Snowdonia, Bodnant Gardens welcomes visitors from across the world into this horticultural haven. With intimate corners, sweeping lawns, grand terraces and verdant woodland, there are many gardens in one at Bodnant. Later we continue to the charming Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno.

Scenic Drive

From our base in Caernarfon we enjoy a scenic drive through Snowdonia today. Our first stop this morning is Llanberis, this lakeside town is located at the foot of Snowdonia. We then head to Betws-y-Coed, this magical town has distinctly Alpine feel and offers visitors a number of unique stops and independent cafes. Our final stop for the day is Conwy. This walled market town is situated on the coastline in North Wales. Many visitors head to the Castle to enjoy stunning view over Conwy and the surrounding area.
