Day 3
Start the day with a scenic drive through the pristine Walser Valley, a designated Biosphere Park. Pass the historic St. Gerold monastery, continue through Damüls and the Bregenzerwald to Schoppernau, where the hilly “Wauld” region begins. From Bezau, take the nostalgic Wälderbähnle museum train to picturesque Schwarzenberg, childhood home of painter Angelika Kauffmann. After exploring the charming town and its dance hall, head to Lingenau to taste the region’s best Bergkäse, also featured at our breakfast buffet. Don’t miss Kauffmann’s early works in the parish church. Finally, return via the scenic Bödele pass to the hotel.
Day 4
After a hearty breakfast, begin your journey via Sargans and the scenic Lake Walen to Rapperswil, home to a castle that once housed the Polish National Museum. Board the Voralpen-Express to Lucerne, where you can explore the charming Old Town, the iconic Chapel Bridge, or the poignant Lion Monument. The return route takes you along Lake Lucerne and past Einsiedeln, known for its healing Black Madonna, before heading back to Feldkirch.
Day 5
Today, travel by coach to Chur, Switzerland’s oldest city and capital of the canton of Grisons. From there, board the Rhaetic Railway for a scenic ride through stunning alpine landscapes to the resort town of Arosa. Explore the ski area, grand hotels, or enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake. Back in Chur, take a short stroll to the cathedral in the historic old town before returning to the hotel.
Day 6
Today begins with a drive to Rheineck on Lake Constance’s Swiss shore, followed by a slant lift ride to Walzenhausen, where your bus awaits. Continue to Appenzell, known for its cheese and alpine bitters—both of which you’ll get to taste. Explore the charming village with its painted wooden houses before heading through the hilly region to St. Gallen, where you can visit the old town and pick up some Swiss chocolate from Maestrani. Then travel along Lake Constance to Bregenz, famous for its lake stage and summer festival. A cable car will take you up the Pfänder for stunning panoramic views. Return to Feldkirch via the Rhine Valley.
