Rudesheim & the Rhine

The romantic river landscape of the Middle Rhine has enchanted people for centuries. So much so that it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its fairytale castles, half-timbered houses, quaint villages and steep vineyards.

Enjoying a central location the historic Felsenkeller hotel offers traditional comfortable en-suite bedrooms with television, telephone, hairdryer and Wi-fi. The hotel has two restaurants a bar, terrace and lounge.

Day 1

Following our short sea crossing we continue to our overnight bed and breakfast accommodation.

Day 2

We continue our journey to Rüdesheim.

Day 3

At leisure in old town of with its cosy squares, old half-timbered houses, many restaurants and wine bars. We include a return cable car ride to the Neiderwald Monument a huge Germania statue built after the Franco-German War

Day 4

Today we travel via Alken on the Moselle to Koblenz known for its historical monument the Deutsches Eck located at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. We then follow the river to Boppard to Bacharach with its preserved city wall, magnificent Stahleck Castle and picturesque old town with winding alleys, cobbled streets and old houses.

Day 5

Today we enjoy one way river cruise to St Goar, where we meet the coach and take the ferry to St Goarhausen and drive up to the Loreley Viewpoint

Day 6

We depart the hotel and complete the journey home.
