Bure Valley Railway

Enjoy a nostalgic day out combining a scenic steam train journey through the picturesque Norfolk countryside with a relaxing boat cruise on the beautiful Norfolk Broads. Begin your adventure at Aylsham Station, travelling by steam train to Wroxham, where your coach will be ready to take you on a short 15-minute drive to Horning. There, your boat awaits for a 1½ hour cruise—don’t forget your binoculars to make the most of the stunning views. After the cruise, return to Aylsham by train or take some free time to explore the charming villages of Horning or Wroxham, home to shops, cafés, and the famous Roys of Wroxham.

Holkham Hall

Today we start our day with a visit to Holkham Hall, a magnificent 18th-century Palladian mansion located on the north Norfolk coast, renowned for its classical architecture, stunning interiors, and expansive grounds. In the afternoon, we head just a few miles north to Wells-next-the-Sea, where you can stroll along the picturesque quay, browse independent shops, or relax on the sandy beach framed by colourful beach huts.
