The Welsh in Flanders Fields

The First World War left an indelible impact on the area now known as Flanders Fields. On our tour we concentrate on the Welsh Regiments who formed part of the British and Commonwealth soldiers that fought on the Ypres Salient.

Excursion 1

A relaxing morning in Ypres where you have time to visit the In Flanders Fields Museum (entry not included) before boarding the coach to visit the Yorkshire Trench, the Welsh cemetery and the Artillery Wood Cemetery and Welsh National Memorial Park. In the evening you can take the short walk to the Menin Gate where you can witness the Last Post which takes place at 8pm.

Excursion 2

We depart after breakfast to visit the Memorial Museum Passchendaele before continuing to the Tyne Cot Cemetery.
